This privacy policy applies to the Soleo: Binge Eating Recovery app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices, created by Ion Botnaru / IBSoft (hereby referred to as "Service Provider"). This policy explains what the Application does and does not do with your information.
This privacy policy is effective as of 2026-08-20
The Application has no account, no server, and no analytics. Everything you enter stays on your device. The Service Provider cannot see your progress, your streaks, your urge logs, or anything you write in the journal, because none of it is ever sent to them. The single exception is purchase validation, described under "Purchases" below.
The Application does not create an account, does not ask for your email address, and has no backend server to send data to. It does ask for a display name during onboarding, and you can change it in Settings — that name is stored only on your device, is used only to address you inside the Application, and is never transmitted anywhere. Providing it is optional. It does not collect your Internet Protocol address (IP address), your location, your advertising identifier, or any usage or diagnostic data. There is no analytics or crash-reporting software in the Application.
The only information transmitted off your device is purchase information, sent to validate a subscription or one-time purchase. This is described in full under "Purchases" below. Nothing else you do in the Application is transmitted anywhere.
The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.
The Application does not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to process your data or provide features.
The Application stores the following locally, in the Application's private storage, so that it works offline and remembers your progress:
This information never leaves your device. It is not backed up to the Service Provider, who has no way to retrieve it.
If you use the Application's Export feature, a backup file is produced and handed to your device's share sheet. Where that file goes is entirely your choice; the Service Provider does not receive it.
If you attach a photo to a "My Why" entry, the Application copies it into its own private storage so the entry keeps working if the original is deleted from your photo library. The copy is stored on your device only. It is never uploaded, and it is deleted when you delete the entry.
If you enable reminders, notifications are scheduled locally on your device. They are not sent from a server and involve no personal data.
Subscriptions and the one-time purchase are processed by Apple or Google, and validated through RevenueCat, Inc., which acts as the Service Provider's payment infrastructure provider.
The Service Provider never sees your payment details. Apple and Google do not provide them.
To validate a purchase, RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated identifier for your installation, together with the purchase receipt issued by the store. That identifier is not linked to your name, your email address, or anything you have entered into the Application. This exchange happens only when you make a purchase, restore purchases, or when the Application checks whether a subscription is still active.
Please note that the Application utilizes a third-party service that has its own Privacy Policy about handling data. Below is the link to the Privacy Policy of the third-party service provider used by the Application:
Apple and Google handle the payment itself under their own privacy policies.
The Application contains no advertising and no third-party trackers. The Service Provider does not build a profile of you, does not sell or share information about you, and does not send marketing email — there is no email address collected to send it to.
Because the Service Provider does not collect or hold your personal information, there is nothing to disclose to third parties. Should the Service Provider ever be legally compelled to disclose information, only the purchase records held by RevenueCat, Apple or Google would exist, and those are governed by the privacy policies of those companies.
The Application is intended for adults and is not directed at children. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, because the Application does not collect personal information at all. The Application is distributed with an 18 and over target audience.
Because everything is stored on your device, you are in full control:
There is nothing held by the Service Provider to request the deletion of.
Information stored by the Application remains in your device's private application storage, protected by your device's own operating system security. Purchase validation is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
The Application provides education and self-tracking tools. It is not a substitute for professional medical care and does not diagnose or treat any condition. If you are struggling, please contact a qualified healthcare professional or a local support line.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
If you have any questions regarding privacy while using the Application, or have questions about the practices, please contact the Service Provider via email at ibsoft.studio@gmail.com.
